Guidelines for the use of Tirzepatide for the treatment of obesity and they include:

• Adults with a BMI of 30 or more. 

• Adults with a BMI of 27-29, who also have at least one weight-related comorbid condition such as hypertension, diabetes type 2, or hyperlipidemia.  

Tirzepatide once-weekly shot can be administered weekly, at any time of day but on the same day each week, with or without meals.

Common side effects

The most common side effects of Mounjaro include nausea, diarrhea, decreased appetite, vomiting, constipation, indigestion, and stomach (abdominal) pain. These are not all the possible side effects of Mounjaro. Talk to your healthcare provider about any side effect that bothers you or doesn’t go away.

We recommend that Tirzepatide be injected subcutaneously into your belly fat around the abdomen or thighs.
